Please join us for Love4Lucas' 3rd Annual 5k Run/Walk/Bike Event to support the Love4Lucas Foundation!

Our 2022 5K event is our biggest fundraiser of the year. Just go 5K (3.1 miles) ANYWHERE and ANYTIME from Saturday, October 29 - Sunday, October 30, 2022.

Thanks to our supporters, we raised almost $30,000 in 2020 and $40,000 in 2021. Your generosity allowed us to donate 100% of the proceeds to research organizations dedicated to finding a cure for DIPG. In 2020, we donated $50,000 to the Children's Brain Tumor Project. CBTP has been using the funds to directly support their focus on targeted therapy and drug delivery approaches.

In 2021, we donated $50,000 to the DIPG/DMG Collaborative, which funds both clinical and translational research.

The Love4Lucas Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization (EIN: 83-0604592) created in honor of Lucas Harashima. On September 17, 2016, at the age of 5, Lucas was diagnosed with DIPG (Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma). DIPG is an aggressive brain tumor that affects children between the ages of 4 and 11 and interferes with all bodily functions. Lucas died on March 21, 2018, just a few months shy of his 7th birthday.

All proceeds from the event will benefit the Love4Lucas Foundation's mission to fund research towards a cure for DIPG and to support families battling DIPG. Unfortunately, the prognosis for DIPG remains very poor. More research and funding are desperately needed and with love, energy, and hope, we can all be a part of the fight. #love4lucas #love4lucasfoundation #love4lucas5k
